Join us at Nygaard Nursery for this fascinating look at what trees can do for us - and a delicious taste of the many fruits and nuts they can provide! If you've been thinking about including trees of any kind in your planting plans for Spring, this is a great opportunity to get advice from professionals and neighbors.


Experienced conservation farmer Noreen Thomas of Doubting Thomas Farms in Moorhead will co-host this peer-to-peer Learning Circle along with Ho-Chunk Nation Member and chef Candace Stock, who will provide snacks featuring aronia, wild plums, and chokecherries. Meteorologist Lisa Green of KVLY TV will talk about the predicted effects of La Nina this coming spring.


Kate Volk, Clay County Soil Conservationist with the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service will be available to talk about technical assistance and cost-share funding for tree planting through federal farm programs. There is no minimum farm income or…
